We are Stop The Suns From Setting

Roots
Originating in the heart of Glasgow, Stop The Suns From Setting started as a love project between drummer Panka and guitarist Chris at the end of 2024 to create a musical space where thoughts and ideas can flow freely, and all opinions matter.
After a few weeks of late-night songwriting sessions, we felt ready to find the people who would make us complete. Soon, Kels joined the band on vocals.

Style
Originally, we intended to write some heavy metal riffs, but it soon became something else. People have called us many things: rock, hard rock, melodic metal, alternative metal, and according to AI, we play alternative rock.
We're proud that our music can't be categorised easily. If you ask us, we just call it Creamy Screamy.

What does that mean, you ask?
Clean vocals and heavy screams, changing by the second. It’s unapologetically emotional, melodic and heavy—polished yet raw. Our inspiration comes from bands like Spiritbox, Bring Me the Horizon, Bad Omens and Vukovi.

MEMBERS

KELS - VOCALS

She might joke, “I’m just the singer,” but trust us, she’s so much more. Kels writes all the lyrics and vocal melodies, and somehow also manages to embody every teenage boy's rockstar fantasy. Total powerhouse.
 

CHRIS - GUITAR

Our very own guitar god. Chris writes most of the backing tracks and brings serious riffs, though he used to keep his talent under wraps. Now he's out of the closet and melting faces.

PANKA - DRUMS

Our drummer and rhythmic backbone. Panka’s an award-winning jazz drummer with the soul of a metalhead. Her and Chris co-founded the band, and yes, she plays hard, fast, and flawlessly.

But more than that, it’s about the freedom that comes with no longer giving them power over you. They tried to pull you back in, craving your attention, but you stepped back and watched karma unfold. It’s about cutting ties, seeing the ghost of who they truly are, and finally feeling free
